Smith, L.W., and Wesson, P.Q. 1845. A new weapon for taming the west. J. Irreproduc. Result. 15:1221-1234.

Abstract

Please fill in your abstract here. Try to keep it less than 300 words. The abstract should tell what the authors did, and what happened. It might begin with a 1-sentence statement of the problem, but this may not be necessary. Include numerical data to demonstrate the results. End the abstract with a sentence that points out the major conclusion to be derived from the data interpretation, and why that is important. (Note - good abstract writing is not an easy task.)

Critical Review

A good critical review should address most of the following questions:

What question (or problem) are the authors trying to address? Is it important, or at least interesting? Why? Are the experiments reasonable to address the question? Are the methods reasonable? Do the results follow from the methods? Do the results make sense (are they clearly presented)? Do the conclusions follow directly from the results? Are they consistent with the results? Did this work teach us anything important?

You can also comment on the presentation with respect to its overall clarity, use of language, etc., however, most attention should be paid to the substance of the article.

Please limit your review to about 11/2 - 2 single spaced pages (however, double spacing will give me room to comment to you, and help improve your work for next time).
