Graduate student Jennifer Romanowich was recently awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. This is an extremely competitive and prestigious award, and funds her Ph.D. research at the University of Virginia. Her fellowship is through the Biological Oceanography program at NSF to study the hydrodynamics and sediment transport processes occurring in seagrass and coral reef ecosystems.
